Description
Lipstick red ballerina in cotton with black ink architectural border print. Piped edges, corset waist, camisole top. 1950s D138 (MRM).
Neckline: Rounded at the front and back. Back is quite low, down to about mid shoulder blade. The neckline has been piped with a self covered bias strip. At the back right side neck about 10cm of piping is missing withing the bias strip (probably shrunk during washing).
Collar: No collar.
Bodice Style: Semi fitted.
Sleeve Style: Inset, one piece, short. The hem is piped and self faced.
Waistline: Natural fitted. Waistline has been piped, right back 12cm of piping missing (same problem as neckline). Metal hook at back waistline, no opposing eye..
Skirt Shape: Flared.
Seams: Plain machine sewing, red or yellow cotton thread.
Edges: Pinked.
Side bodice seams have both been let out (stitching line and machine holes evident).
