Object Detail

Provenance details
According to donor, this was obtained from Spain prior to World War I by an author, a Miss Kennedy, who was a great friend of donor's mother (nee Amy Coughtrey). Donor understood from Miss Kennedy that this was a Moorish dish of Hispano-Moorish origin about year 1290AD. Suggestion of RS Duff that this might be early Italian Majolica. HISPANO-MORESQUE WARE, WHICH IS A LUSTRE GLAZE.
