Description
An electric soldering iron. This iron has a large pointed tip which is heated elecrically. This soldering iron manufactured by Rawplug may have been used as part of a security system for bolts into rock or concrete. This system involved filing the whole with melted lead (solder) and pushing a fastener in when the lead cooled the fastening became secure.
The iron has a black bakelite insulated handle from which extends an electric cable or flex. A metal shat extends forward of the handle - encased in this is the electric heating elements which heats the separate tip.
