Description
Brass and white metal hat badge of the 1st Canterbury Regiment, NZ Infantry. Badge takes the form of a white heron flanked by fern fronds and surmounted by a crown. Heron is within a circlet of relief text "1st Regiment New Zealand Infantry" and atop text "Ake Ake Kia Kaha" and "Canterbury" in 2 scrolls.
