Journal: Hooper

Description
One leatherbound journal that belonged to a Mr Hooper of Kaiapoi. It contains business transactions relating to his carpentry work for several individuals. The earliest transaction dates to 1853. It also contains several recipes including chutney, bread, home made yeast, pickled cabbage, peppermint lozenges, tomato sauce, and cures for dry rot and small pox.
