Description
Earthenware spill-type flower vase, Greek motif transfer decoration. Imitation "Etruscan"ware.
Waisted vase: 92mm top diam., 41mm centre diam., 99mm foot diam. White glazed interior and base; matt black exterior.
Interior rim border of Greek fret and cross pattern edged with gold; central motif of soldier farewelling family; repeat border on foot.
Backstamp:[unidentified] discus thrower; impressed Wardle 1920.
