Richard was always so polite, helpful and enthusiastic when you asked for assistance at the main Christchurch library

Richard was an absolute wealth of local historical knowledge and was always willing to share this with fellow genealogists and historians. He guided cemetery tours during the annual heritage weeks in Christchurch.

Yes, Richard Greenaway, well known to Genealogists who did voluntary transcribing at the Canterbury Public Library in the 1980s.
